On January 1, 2011, I set out on a personal mission to live a healthier lifestyle. Of course, as one of the many overweight Americans, I decided to start with losing some weight. I set a goal to lose 25 pounds in six months and to lose about four pounds a month. I would like to reach my goal weight of 150 pounds by July 1st of this year.
On April 1st, I had fallen five pounds behind schedule. With 18 pounds and three months to go, I adjusted my monthly goal to six pounds.

UPDATE: On May 3, 2011, I revised my goals again. April was a terrible month... I would have had to lose 15 pounds to catch up by June 1st. That just isn't healthy or realistic.
